Terry Peyton
Terry swam from 1965-1970 for Cordova Swim Club, 1971-1979 for Arden Hills Swim Club, 1980-1982 for American River College, was High All American all four years at Cordova High School and Sacramento Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame in 1982.
Terry’s coaching background includes 1978-1980 Age Group Coach, Arden Hills Swim Club; 1980-1981 Head Coach, Southland 6000; 1981-1999 Head Coach, Cosumnes River Aquatics; 1982-1983 Head Coach, St Francis HS, 1983-1985 Head Coach, Christian Brothers HS; 1985-1986 Head Coach, Laguna Creek HS; 1986-1991 Head Coach, Valley HS; 1991-1993 Asst. Coach, Sacramento City College; 1992-1996 Head Coach, Sacramento Masters; 2014-2015 Head Coach, Laguna Creek/STAS; Head Coach for Parkway Swim Club and is the Head Coach for Cosumnes River College & Sacramento Aquatics Club.
Terry was also a Board Member Sierra Nevada Swimming from 1990-1999; USA Swimming Safety Committee Member from 1992-1994; Sierra Nevada Swimming All-Star Coaching Staff from 1991-1998; and a Stroke & Turn Official Nor Cal Swim League from 2005-2012.
Terry retired from coaching in 1999 to raise his two children and returned to coaching in 2014. He retired from his painting business, Peyton’s Painting Plus (1993-2023) to become the Head Coach for the Cosumnes River College swim team.

Jose Bonner
Jose came to Sacramento Aquatics as a swim parent in 2018, became the dryland coach in 2019, and has been on deck ever since. Jose is also the swim coach for Elk Grove High School. Driven by a desire for empowering young people through swimming, Jose’s approach centers on developing well-rounded student-athletes; believing that success comes from a balance of hard work, a positive attitude, and fun.

James Pitcock
Coach James started swimming with SAC in 2016 and been o deck as an assistant coach since 2022. After graduating in 2024, he continued coaching while swimming at Cosumnes River College and pursuing a BA in Financial Planning from Arizona State University. James coaches primarily with the Bronze and Silver groups and believes that success in swimming means forming a strong work ethic and mindset that athletes carry

Sarah
Coach Sara started as a swimmer under Coach Terry. She also coached with Terry the summer before her senior year of high school. She recently graduated from UC Santa Cruz where she was part of the Swim and Dive Team for 3 1/2 years, not including COVID, and received a B.A in Intensive Psychology. She coaches with the Bronze swimmers and coordinates our dryland program for our Silver and Gold swimmers.
